As AI becomes embedded in climate systems, financial markets, migration management, and planetary monitoring, it is no longer just shaping efficiency; it is shaping authority. Sustainability today is not only about protecting the planet, but about deciding who governs its resources, who bears its risks, and whose future is secured. As algorithmic systems begin to influence environmental decisions at scale, the defining question of our time emerges: will AI enable equitable planetary stewardship, or deepen existing inequalities under the guise of progress?
